Hi

Hey, this is my first post on my new blog. Everyone in the family has one... You know how it goes. So I was bored, and decided to write some stuff and wanted to let the whole family see, so that's why I decided to get a blog. Well, anyway, I guess I'll introduce myself even though ya'll should know who I am. My name is Jedidiah, part of the Seaman- Cattell family, I'm 14 (Yes!) years old, love reading, writing stories, animals, and my neices and nephew. I grew up surrounded by girls with only a few guys to keep me sane. Have five other siblings, one who died when I was young. They are, by age, Jennifer, David, Helen, Matthew, me, then Timothy (he was the one who died.) Because Timothy left, I am still the youngest and I didn't have a younger brother to mold and shape to my liking. So, instead, Igot two little neices, Madeline and Isabella. The only problem is, they're girls. No shaping possible. Then later, I got two more surprises, neices number 3 and 4, Estella and Amelia. Again, all I had were girls and no boys at all. Then in 2006, I got a wonderful gift. By this time I was tired of girls, so it was great when little Nathan came along. Finally a boy to play with! And since I was older, I could influence him more. Then last year, I recieved more news. Two more children on the way! I could not believe what I heard. I all ready had five neices and nephew, and now two more! I was excited all the way up until they were born, that's when I found out what they were. You guessed it, they were girls. Gretchen and Samantha. I was upset and depressed at the fact that I now had more girls in my life. But that changed right when I saw them. I looked at their faces and there was no way I could be mad. They were just to cute! So now I have 6 neices and poor Nathan. I still hope for more nephews, and I'm sure Nathan does too. So that's a look at immediate family. My aunt's and uncles follow pretty much the same pattern on my mom's side. I have two aunts, Carol and Susan, and one uncle, Jim. Aunt Carol has one son, Corey. Aunt Susie has two children, Travis and Sarah. All three are grown adults now. Uncle Jimmy has three children; Allyson 19, Tabitha 17, and Caitlin 8. I also have other cousins on my mom's side. There are two girl cousins my age, Merinda and Baleigh, Carson and Taylor, their little brothers respectively, three girls cousins who live in Missouri, and other numerous generation cousins. On my dad's side I only know of Uncle George. He has children but we never see them. Then I have the grandparents, Jim and Hazel Cattell. They are on mom's side. On dad's side, it was Lawrence and Mildred, but I never knew them. Jim and Hazel are still alive. Finally we come to the in-laws. There is James, married to Jennifer, Ryan married to Helen, and Eileen, married to David. By the way, Madeline and Bella are Jen's and James's; Estella, Amelia, and Gretchen are Dave's and Eileen's; and Nathan and Samantha are Helen's and Ryan's. Continuing, there is also Momma V and Papa Rich. They are Helen's in-laws but I call them that because when I was little, I heard Helen call them that, and the names stuck. So that's a look at my family.

Very insightful, Jed. Good to know you love you nieces as well as your nephew.

I agree we need more boys in that generation. So what can we do to make sure that happens??? ummmm.... put your mind to it and come up with a plan. Let me know how I can help but keep it under wraps. We wouldn't want the baby makers to hear and revolt... you know how girls are.
